I
am the School Library Media Specialist, or librarian,
for Willsboro Central School. I have been a librarian for
30 years, starting in a university library, moving to public
libraries, and now as a school librarian. I have been
teaching
at Willsboro since 1996.
I grew up in the
Midwest, attended Augustana College in
Sioux Falls, SD, and received a MLS from Simmons College
in Boston, MA. I also attended the International Graduate
School of Information Science in Aberystwyth, Wales, and finished up my
education at Plattsburgh State.
I have lived in
the Adirondacks since 1980 with my husband, who owns the stained glass
studio and studio in Westport, and my two children. Will (25) has
a web design business in Northampton, MA and Lillian (21) graduated from
Northwestern University with a European Studies major.
I love living in
the Adirondacks, spending as much time as possible on the lakes and
rivers, gardening, daylilies, tennis, libraries, and of course, reading.
