WCS A-Z

PART I. Welcome to Willsboro

Dear Student:

You are entering an exciting time here in Willsboro. If you study and work hard you will learn and grow into a stronger and better person. We hope you make the best of this school year.

This handbook has been developed through the efforts of WCS teachers, administrators, staff, school board, student council, and parents. You are issued one of these, free of charge. You are required to keep this and use it. If you lose it, you will be able to buy a new one. You will notice that the student handbook is presented in the beginning of this book. The handbook is intended to help you understand the rules and procedures at school. It should not be construed as a full compilation of all school policies; they are too numerous to be presented herein. After that there is other useful information and an agenda section. We hope that you will use the agenda section to keep track of important days as well as your daily homework assignments.

Best wishes for a successful year.

VISION STATEMENT

To create a model community-based center that responds to the learning and training needs of all citizens within the Willsboro Central School District.

MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Willsboro Central School District is to produce a healthy, responsible, productive citizen who values life-long learning and is capable of contributing to a global community.  In concert with the community, the school as a learning and training center must provide instruction, which opens the minds to inquiry and reasoning while acquiring factual knowledge.  We accomplish this by providing the resources of the whole community in an exciting, interactive environment conducive to learning.
