Meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m.             

Pledge of Allegiance

ELECTION OF BOARD OFFICERS:

Motion by Bruce Hale, seconded by Phyllis Klein, to appoint Brandy Sweatt as District Clerk for the 2007-08 school year, administration of oath.

Administration of Oath to Bruce Hale, newly elected Board Member for a five year term to serve until June 2012, by Brandy Sweatt.

Administration of Oath to Stephen Broadwell , Superintendent of Schools for the 2007-08 school year.

Motion by Craig Jackson, seconded by Phyllis Klein voted and carried (5-0) to nominate Andrea Robare as President of the Board for the 2007-08 school year, administration of oath.

Motion by Phyllis Klein, seconded by Scott Sayward, voted and carried (5-0) to nominate Craig Jackson as Vice President of the Board for the 2007-08 school year, administration of oath.

DESIGNATIONS:

Motion by Phyllis Klein, seconded by Scott Sayward, voted and carried (4-0-1) with one abstention ( Andrea Robare ) to designate Champlain National Bank and Class Investments as the Official Bank Depository for the 2007-08 school year.

Motion by Scott Sayward, seconded by Phyllis Klein, voted and carried (5-0) to designate the Plattsburgh Press Republican and the Valley News as the Official Newspapers for the 2007-08 school year.

Motion by Scott Sayward, seconded by Bruce Hale, voted and carried (5-0) to hold the regular Board meetings on the second and fourth Tuesday of the each month beginning at 6:00pm.

AUTHORIZATIONS:

Motion by Craig Jackson, seconded by Phyllis Klein, voted and carried (5-0) to approve the following authorizations 2007-08 school year:  

a)   Participation in the National School Lunch Program

b)   Participation in the Cooperative Purchasing Program

c)   Re-adoption of all existing Board Policies and Code of Ethics

d)   Establish a Petty Cash fund for $250.00

e)   The Superintendent of Schools be authorized to certify payrolls

f)   The Superintendent of Schools be authorized to sign all special State  and Federal applications and forms required for programs and grants

g)   The Superintendent of Schools be authorized to approve budget transfers up to $2000.00

h)   The Superintendent of School authorization approve conferences, workshops, and conventions

i)   Stephen Broadwell , Superintendent of Schools, as a member of the CEWW Counties Health Consortium Board of Directors

j)   The Guidance Counselor and Extra-Curricular Treasurer to sign student-activity checks

k)   School lunch prices

           Breakfast - $1.00

K-6 Lunch $1.50

  7-12 Lunch $1.65 

Adults $3.25(includes tax)

l)   The single signature of the District Treasurer to validate school checks for the school year.

m)   The Superintendent of Schools attends and represents Willsboro Central School at conferences sponsored by the NYSCOSS, NYSSBA, SED or BOCES.

     n)   The following as a standard workday for school personnel for the  purpose of determining days worked reportable to the NYS and Local Employees’ Retirement System:

Five Days/Week – 7 Hours/Day:

                All cafeteria workers

                School Nurse

                All Office Personnel

Five Days/Week – 8 Hour/Day:

                All Maintenance Workers
