find detailed information on specific companies,
including histories, rankings, and brand information.

searches over 50 magazines aimed towards K - 5 students.

Press
Republican Online
is the
abbreviated version of our local daily newspaper.
New York
State Newspapers This database will search 28
newspapers in New York Sate, including the
New York Times.
National Newspaper Index is a database of the top
five newspapers in the United States.
The newspapers included
are The New York Times, The Wall Street
Journal, The Washington Post,
The Christian Science
Monitor, and The Los Angeles
Times.
Custom
Newspapers
indexes over 900 newspapers from the U.S. and around the

Do you need basic information from
encyclopedias?
The library has
print encyclopedias such as The World Book and
Encyclopedia Americana. There are
also specialized encyclopedias such as The Middle
Ages, Holocaust and World War II Almanac,
Writers
for Young Adults, Renaissance and Reformation
, and American National Biography.

This is an electronic encyclopedia available only
in the elementary computer lab.

Grolier Online searches the
Encyclopedia Americana, New
Book of Knowledge, and the
Grolier Multimedia Encyclopedia. It
includes a dictionary, atlas and thesaurus.

The library has biographical
encyclopedias such as Major
Authors and Illustrators for Children and
Young Adults, American Writers,
Contemporary Poets, Contemporary Dramatists,
Contemporary Novelists, and Short Story Writers to name
just a few.
Twayne Author Series
will have extensive information and analysis of world,
American and English authors and poets.
BiographyOnline provides brief biographies of the
more famous authors, with links to other websites.
Do you need information on health issues?
The library has the Encyclopedia
of Family Health, Mental Health Information for
Teens, and Body by Design: From the
Digestive System to the Skeleton.
Health
& Wellness Resource Center will search for magazine
and journal articles on medical and health topics.
It also includes a medical dictionary and medical and
alternative health encyclopedias.
WebMD,
BeWell, and
Healthline are three
online resources for medial and health information.
