Art Department

I was born in White Plains, New York and moved to the Adirondacks just in time to start Kindergarten at Westport Central School.  My parents were drawn to the beauty of the area and therefore I have been blessed with the experience of growing up along side my two sisters and brother on the banks of Lake Champlain.  After high school graduation I attended Hartwick College where I received a Bachelor Degree in fine Arts with a minor in Art History.  During my time at Hartwick I studied abroad twice; first studying the art and architecture in Italy and than the cultures and art of Spain.  These were two very valuable experiences in my life and have created a need and love for travel.  After graduating from Hartwick I moved to the Albany area where I worked as a counselor for children with Autism and Fetal alcohol Disorder.  I found my interest in sharing art with others and decided to get my teaching degree.  I attended Sage Graduate School and received my Masters Degree in Art Education.  In my free time I try to travel , do some artwork of my own as well as spend time with my puppy Frida, my friends, and family.

This is  my first year teaching in Willsboro central School.  I am the only art teacher for the district (makes for some interesting departmental meetingsJ) and have students from Pre-K to 12th grade.  Teaching at Willsboro has been a very exciting and enjoyable experience for me.  Our students are very talented and have been producing some great work.  I hope to have a few art shows this year in the school and around the community.  Please feel free to stop in the art room at any time.
