WCS A-Z

Ms. Freeman
7th, 8th & 10th Grade English Teacher

I grew up in Peru and Lake Placid.  I attended Elmira College where I double-majored in Elementary Education and English Literature.  After I graduated in 2000, I moved to Shelby, North Carolina where I taught 7th grade Language Arts at Crest Middle School for four years.  I began teaching at WCS in September 2005.  I earned my MS Ed. in Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment from Walden University in 2006.  Currently I teach 7th, 8th and 10th grade English classes along with various AIS and Labs.  I really enjoy preparing the 7th and 8th grade students for the state exams in January and helping the 10th graders prepare for the 11th grade Regents exams.  My daughter, Molly, was born in November 2006, so that's where most of my free time goes!  But when I do get the time, I like to read and spend time with my family.
