WCS A-Z

Mrs. Eldred
Home & Careers/Elementary AIS Teacher

I was born and raised in Queensbury, NY the youngest of
6 children.  I currently live with my husband Steve, my
8-year old daughter Jenna and 2 year-old Spaniel mix
Abbey in Lake Placid, NY.

I have an A.A.S. from Paul Smith's College for Hotel/Restaurant Management and a B.S. from Johnson State College for Hospitality Management.  I owned and operated a family restaurant for five years.  I was a Real Estate Sales Agent/Broker for eight years.

I have a M.S.T. from SUNY Plattsburgh for Elementary Education and have three NYS Teacher Certifications:  Pre-K - Grade 6, Business & Marketing and Family & Consumer Sciences.  I was a Head Start teacher for one year and a substitute teacher for two years.  2007-08 will be my second year at WCS where I teach Grade 12 Parenting, Grade 8 Home & Careers,  Grade 6 Home & Careers and K - Grade 5 Computer.

My favorite hobbies are cooking, knitting, camping, boating and hiking.  The Summer of 2007 I plan to hike the Northville-Placid Trail.  It is approximately 132 miles and should take about 10 days.
