Approval of Minutes
Motion by Phyllis Klein,
seconded by Craig Jackson, voted and carried (4-0) to approve the
minutes from the re-organizational meeting on July 10, 2007.

the regular meeting on July 10, 2007.
Business & Finance
Motion by Phyllis Klein,
seconded by Scott Sayward, voted and carried (4-0) to approve the
internal claims auditor report, dated July 24, 2007.
New Business
A presentation was given
by Mr.
Chris Ford
regarding the
Memorial
Garden
and the graduation ceremony.

by Scott Sayward, voted and carried (4-0) to ratify Mr. Hale’s first
motion of the re-organizational meeting to appoint
Brandy
Sweatt as the district clerk.
Motion by Phyllis Klein, seconded
by Craig Jackson, voted and carried (4-0) to approve the faculty
handbook for 2007-08 school year.
Motion by Craig Jackson, seconded
by Scott Sayward, voted and carried (4-0) to approve the 2007-08
agreement with CVES for adult education and safety education – Co-Ser
103 and Co-Ser 401.
Motion by Phyllis Klein, seconded
by Scott Sayward, voted and carried (4-0) to approve entering into an
agreement with
Moriah
Central
School
for the transportation of one of their students to the
Rome
School
for the Deaf 2007-08 and we will be charging Moriah $21,500 which is a
$500.00 increase from last year.

by Phyllis Klein, voted and carried (4-0) to approve the 2007-08 school
safety plan.
Motion by Phyllis Klein, seconded
by Scott Sayward, voted and carried (4-0) to accept the highest bid of
$639.00 from Lutz Sales for the 1990 International Bluebird Bus that was
for sale.
Board Policies
Motion by Craig Jackson,
seconded by Scott Sayward, voted and carried (4-0) to accept as a first
reading Time Out Room Policy.
Reports from Superintendent
The
District had 87% of our busses pass on the first attempt – the State
goal is 90% passage rate. Two
of the three buses that did not pass on the initial attempt were
corrected at the site, re-inspected, passed and ready for immediate
service.
The
state rebate rates information was distributed for the Towns of
Willsboro and Essex.
- Old
School – A restore NY grant will be available in the fall
We will
be meeting with the Town and WDC to consider pursuing this grant which
has Fall 2007 deadline. The
board agrees that we should pursue this opportunity.
Mr. Hall (Old School Committee Chairperson has been contacted
regarding this issue).

Smith
House
Health
Center
The
Smith House (school’s physician) will have a new doctor beginning in
October.
