Meeting called to order at 6:15pm by Andrea Robare .

Approval of Minutes

Motion by Craig Jackson, seconded by Phyllis Klein, voted and carried (3-0-2), 2 abstentions (Bruce Hale & Scott Sayward) to approve the minutes from the 6/26/07 board meeting.

Business & Finance

Motion by Scott Sayward, seconded by Phyllis Klein, voted and carried (4-0-1), with 1 abstention (Bruce Hale) to approve the internal claims auditors report date June 26, 2007.

Motion by Phyllis Klein, seconded by Scott Sayward, voted and carried (5-0) to accept the bid from Garvey Hyundai of $21, 500 for a 2007 Hyundai Entourage Van. 

New Business

Motion by Craig Jackson, seconded by Phyllis Klein, voted and carried (5-0) to approve the attendance of Bruce Hale at the NYS School Boards Association Workshop, on September 15^th, at CVES Instructional Services Center , Plattsburgh .

Motion by Phyllis Klein, seconded by Scott Sayward, voted and carried (5-0) to approve the agreement with the Town of Willsboro for the use of Willsboro School buses for the Youth Program in exchange for shared service agreement of plowing and other mutually agreeable projects from July1, 2007 – June 30, 2008. 

Motion by Phyllis Klein, seconded by Bruce Hale, voted and carried (5-0) to re-establish a committee regarding the old school, including community members.

Motion by Phyllis Klein, seconded by Bruce Hale, voted and carried (5-0) to table the approval of the faculty handbook until the July 24, 2007 meeting.

Motion by Phyllis Klein, seconded by Craig Jackson, voted and carried (5-0) to approve the Superintendent’s attendance at the fall 2007 NYCOSS Conference on September 30- October 2 and the NYSPHSAA Annual meeting on August 7 – 9.

Motion by Craig Jackson, seconded by Phyllis Klein, voted and carried (5-0) to select October 23, 2007 as the date for the vote regarding the building project using EXCEL monies.

Motion by Craig Jackson, seconded by Phyllis Klein, voted and carried (5-0) to approve the resolution to participate in the St. Lawrence / Lewis BOCES Cooperative Purchasing Programs in accordance with guidelines set forth in the “Cooperative Purchasing Agreement” for the 2007-08 school year.

Personnel – Consent Agenda

Motion by Phyllis Klein, seconded by Craig Jackson, voted and carried to approve the following coaches / advisor appointments for the 2007-08 school year:

Motion by Scott Sayward, seconded by Phyllis Klein, voted and carried (5-0) to approve the appointment of Rebecca Holzhauer, as Art Teacher, effective September 1, 2007.  She will be placed at Step 1 of the salary schedule.

Motion by Craig Jackson, seconded by Scott Sayward, voted and carried (5-0) to approve the appointment of Jacob Reynolds, as substitute custodian at $9.25/ hour, effective July 3, 2007.

Motion by Phyllis Klein, seconded by Bruce Hale, voted and carried (5-0) to appoint Ben Rowe as the 2007-08 student liaison to the Board of Education.

Adjournment

Motion by Phyllis Klein, seconded by Scott Sayward, voted and carried (5-0) to adjourn the regular meeting at 6:36pm and to enter into executive session.

Motion by Bruce Hale, seconded by Scott Sayward, voted and carried (5-0) to go back to public session at 7:15pm.
