Meeting was called to order at

The board recognized Alicia
Mahoney for being one of the finalist in the “In Lafayette’s
Footsteps” contest, which was opened to students grades 6th
– 12th in the tri-state area (NY, NJ and NH). Alicia
created a flag that symbolized the French-American friendship and her
piece was selected as one of the 80 finalist out of over 2500 entries
the French Embassy received.
The board received and
participated in a presentation by the art teacher,
Rebecca
Holzhauer and the French teacher
Marie
Blatchley.
Approval of Minutes
Motion by Craig Jackson,
seconded by Phyllis Klein, voted and carried (5-0) to approve the
minutes from the 11-27-07 regular meeting.
Business & Finance
Motion by Scott Sayward,
seconded by Phyllis Klein, voted and carried (5-0) to approve of The
Omni Group as the district’s provider and management of our
employee’s tax shelter annuities and 403(b) plans.
Motion by Craig Jackson, seconded by Phyllis Klein, voted and carried
(5-0) to accept the tax collector’s report for the 2007 – 2008
school year.
New Business
Motion by Scott Sayward,
seconded by Phyllis Klein, voted and carried (5-0) to approve Mrs.
Laura Eldred
’s enrichment activity of a Crafting Club for 4th, 5th,
& 6th grade students.
Motion by Bruce Hale, seconded by Phyllis Klein, voted and carried (5-0)
to approve the 2008-2009 budget development calendar.
Motion by Phyllis Klein, seconded by Bruce Hale, voted and carried (5-0)
to approve the Special Education recommendations.
Executive Session
Motion by Phyllis Klein, seconded by Bruce Hale, voted and carried (5-0)
to enter into executive session at 6:59pm.
Motion by Phyllis Klein, seconded by Bruce Hale, voted and carried (5-0)
to end executive session at 7:36pm.
Motion by Phyllis Klein, seconded by Bruce Hale, voted and carried (5-0)
to adjourn the meeting at 7:37pm.
