To instill an appreciation of music in all students, with special emphasis on
performance techniques, sight-reading, self-discipline, and positive personal
character.
Goals:
To
strive toward the development of music appreciation andunderstanding through the study and performance of music.
To
become interested and discriminating listeners and develop a strong well
rounded background.
To
contribute to selected school and community functions, while
promoting and enhancing the reputation of the school at all times.
To
provide all interested students with an opportunity, for productivity use of
leisure time and positive social experiences.
Events:
We
may also participate in other events such as exchange concerts as they transpire
during the year.
Community Band
begins Wednesday 9/13/06 at 7:00 P.M. in the Willsboro School Music
Room.
All are welcome to attend. Rehearsals will be every Wednesday at
7:00.
